Submission Guidelines

Something Real… is an in-flight magazine written and illustrated primarily by children eighteen (18) and below. Our goal is to provide an opportunity for children to express themselves through written words or visual art.

Your child is invited to send her or his creativity on paper to Something Real… magazine for publication!

We are looking for:

Cover Art Short Stories Comic Strips Journal Entries Poems Theories

Photographs Drawings Paintings Games Puzzles

Whatever else that a child creates that expresses visually from the soul

If your child or children would like to have their work published in Something Real… , please send the original written or art work on standard 8 ½ X 11 paper in a larger envelope to:

Something Real… will be published every month, so keep the contributions coming!

Artwork will be considered for the front cover as well as inside the magazine, while written work will appear within the magazine exclusively.

When an item is sent, please be certain to include:

• The full name of the author/artist
• The age of the author/artist
• A completed, signed copy of the Parental Release Form. (This form can be downloaded in Adobe Acrobat format here.)
• A photograph of the child or teen submitter to be published with her/his work. (optional but encouraged)
• A phone number to contact the parent/guardian.
